The Ludlow Palmers are a group of people who love St Laurence's
church and wish to see it preserved in good condition for future
generations. We raise money for the Conservation Trust for St
Laurence which awards grants to the church to support projects
designed to conserve the fabric and treasures of St Laurence's. The
Conservation Trust is an independent body with no religious
affiliation. As a body we are not involved in the religious life of
the church and play no part in controversial discussions about the
re-ordering of the interior.
JOIN THE LUDLOW PALMERS —
An annual donation confers membership as a Ludlow Palmer and entitles individuals to receive public acknowledgement, invitation to the annual meeting, subscription to the quarterly newsletter, advanced notice of social, informational, musical and fund-raising events, as well as discounted tickets for designated events.
Based on the amount of annual giving, individuals may become Stewards, Wardens or Guild Circle members. They receive all of the benefits of Ludlow Palmer membership, as well as additional benefits throughout the year.
Donation by standing order or direct debit, especially for Wardens and Guild Circle members, ensures that members will be first to receive information about all forthcoming events and activities, and guarantees participation in the Ludlow Palmers' Council. It also enables the Ludlow Palmers to plan ahead in order to have adequate funds in case there are unforeseen emergency repairs to St Laurence's building and/or fabric.
We have one advantage over our predecessors six centuries ago. For every charitable gift made by a Ludlow Palmer who pays tax in the UK, the government adds 25% through Gift Aid at no extra cost to the donor. Legacies made in wills are exempt from taxation and can reduce inheritance tax.
