PALMERS ANNOUNCE PILGRIMAGE WEEKEND
The month of May might seem a long way off, but for Ludlow Palmers it is just around the corner. Palmers (a medieval term for pilgrims) and pilgrimage were an important part of medieval life, but they also strike a responsive chord in our modern, ever-changing world. To celebrate Ludlow's heritage and its links with the Ludlow Palmers, a number of ‘pilgrimage’ events are planned during May.
During the afternoon of 28 May, Hereford Cathedral will host a cream tea and a Pilgrims Evensong. Everyone participating in these weekend activities will receive a pilgrim's badge featuring Hereford's St Thomas de Cantilupe. Return transport by coach will be provided.
