Lecturer Penny Hegbin-Barnes

Dr Penny Hebgin-Barnes is the author of summary catalogues of medieval stained glass in the counties of Lincolnshire (1996), Lancashire (2009) and Cheshire (2010) and is currently working on the summary catalogue for Essex with Chris Parkinson. She has written many articles and guidebooks and advised museums, churches, conservators and the Pevsner revisers on the pre-19th Century glass of north-west England, Lincolnshire and Essex. She is the Stained Glass Advisor to the Diocese of Chester and a committee member of the British Corpus Vitrearum, an international body devoted to recording stained glass that predates c.1800.
