Become a Palmer

The Ludlow Palmers are a group of people who love St Laurence's church and wish to see it preserved in good condition for future generations. We raise money for the Conservation Trust for St Laurence which awards grants to the church to support projects designed to conserve the fabric and treasures of St Laurence's. The Conservation Trust is an independent secular body with no religious affiliation. As a body we are not involved in the religious life of the church and play no part in controversial discussions about the re-ordering of the interior.

Join the Ludlow Palmers — live history

When you make a donation you will become a Ludlow Palmer, receiving advance notice of social, educational, musical and fund-raising events, an invitation to the annual meeting, regular updates on the work of the Palmers through a quarterly newsletter and monthly e-mails and a chance to participate in the Palmers' Council which helps to plan Palmers' activities.

Regular donation by standing order, BACS, cheque or PayPal ensures that Palmers will be first to receive the latest news.  It also enables the Ludlow Palmers to plan ahead in order to have adequate funds in case there are unforeseen emergency repairs to St Laurence's building and/or fabric.

We have one advantage over our predecessors six centuries ago. For every charitable gift made by a Ludlow Palmer who pays tax in the UK, the government adds 25% through Gift Aid at no extra cost to the donor. Legacies made in wills are exempt from taxation and can reduce inheritance tax. For more information ...read more....
